Cookie policy

What is stored, what for, how long, and how to remove it.

In one sentence

Utiliobox stores a handful of values in your browser to remember your preferences, and uses third-party cookies to measure usage and show ads. The third-party ones are your call, through Google's certified consent panel, which appears wherever the law requires it: the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

What each choice means: if you accept, ads may be personalised using your activity. If you do not, ads still appear where that is permitted, but non-personalised: no profiling and no use of your previous activity. You can change your mind at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.

What we store ourselves (always on)

Three values in your browser's local storage. They never travel to a server, they identify nobody, and without them the site would forget your settings on every visit.

NameWhat it doesLifetime
ub-langRemembers whether you prefer the site in English or SpanishUntil you clear the site's data
ub-themeRemembers whether you chose light or dark modeUntil you clear the site's data
ub-ganttKeeps your last Gantt schedule so a reload does not lose itUntil you clear the site's data

Third-party cookies (only if you accept)

Accepting in the consent panel enables two things:

  • Usage measurement. Aggregate statistics about which pages get visited, so we know which tools deserve attention.
  • Advertising. The ad provider (Google AdSense) may set its own cookies and identifiers to serve ads and measure them. Those cookies are managed by the provider, not by us, under its own policies. Details in the third-party ads notice.

If you do not accept, no advertising cookies are set and your activity is not used to profile you. The slots do not stay empty: non-personalised ads appear where that is permitted, chosen from the content of the page.

Changing your mind

Any time: click the Cookies link in the footer and the consent panel opens again. You can also wipe everything this site has stored from your browser's settings (website data section), and block or delete cookies from the same place.

One clarification that matters

None of this has anything to do with the files you process in the tools. Those are never uploaded anywhere, never stored in a cookie and never transmitted to anyone; they are processed inside your browser, as explained in the privacy notice.
