Why there are ads

Utiliobox tools are free, need no account and have no daily limits. Someone has to pay for hosting and for the work, and the alternative to charging is advertising. We would rather run unobtrusive, honest ads than a “pro” tier holding basic features hostage.

Who serves the ads

Advertising is served by Google AdSense and its partners. We reserve the space; the actual content of each ad is decided by the provider through its own technology, not by us. We do not endorse or vet the products and services advertised, and we have no relationship with the advertisers.

Where they appear

Ad slots sit in fixed, predictable positions: a horizontal banner below each tool's working area, a block halfway through the informational content, a notice when you download a result, and a small corner notification. None of them sits above the tool or covers the working area: when you land on a page, the first thing you see is the tool, ready to use.

The download notice appears after the download has already started, never before, and can be dismissed with its button, by clicking outside it, or with the Escape key. The corner notification closes with its cross and does not return during that session.

Ad cookies and your consent

Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other sites. That only happens if you accept it in Google's certified consent panel, which appears wherever the law requires it: the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

If you do not accept, the slots do not stay empty: non-personalised ads are shown where that is permitted. Those are chosen from the content of the page rather than your previous activity, and they are not used to profile you. You can change your decision at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.

What advertising never touches

The files you process in the tools are never shared with advertisers or with anyone else, because they never leave your browser. No advertiser receives your documents, their names or their contents. That is a technical impossibility, not a marketing promise.

Current status

Right now the ad slots are reserved but empty: you will see a box marked AD rather than a real advertisement. This notice will remain accurate once advertising goes live.
